UEFA has fined the Croatian Football Federation and issued a suspended partial stadium ban following fan misconduct during the Nations League match against Spain. The HNS must pay a total of 57,000 euros, with a 20% stadium closure for its next UEFA home match suspended for two years.

The federation confirmed the sanctions. "Due to the discriminatory behavior of the fans, the HNS has been fined 30,000 euros and a 20% closure of the stadium's capacity has been imposed for the next home match of the Croatian national team in UEFA competitions, with the partial stadium closure sanction being suspended for a period of two years," the HNS said. An additional 23,000 euro fine was for the use of flares and pyrotechnics, and a further 4,000 euros for blocking access to the stands.

The incidents occurred during the match in Split on October 6, which Croatia lost 1-2. This was the team's third consecutive defeat, and you can review the recent form on the stats page. The HNS must now monitor supporter behavior over the next two years to avoid the stadium ban being enforced. The national team returns to action on November 12 with an away fixture against group leaders England.
