Croatia has advanced to 23rd place on the UEFA coefficient list after Dinamo, Rijeka and Hajduk's wins in European competitions. The new growth is great news for Croatian football.

Dinamo started a good trend with a convincing 5:0 win over the Lithuanian champion Kauno Žalgiris at Maksimir and thus practically secured a place in the play-off of the Champions League before the return match scheduled for Tuesday (August 11, 19:00).

Rijeka and Hajduk also had a great European week. The Split-based team won 5:2 in Lithuania against Žalgiris, while the Rijeka-based team won 1:0 against the Finnish Ilves at Rujevica.

It seems that the choices of Matjaž Kek could have been even more convincing given the display, but the wins of all our representatives brought new growth for Croatia on the UEFA coefficient list.

After Dinamo's win, Croatia jumped over Ukraine to 22nd place, and now we have advanced another place and left Romania behind.

Our representatives have won three points (each win earns a point), or 0.75 points for the coefficient, taking into account that the total number of points is divided by the number of representatives who started the European journey as representatives of some country.

Croatia was also represented by Varaždin, which unfortunately lost in the second round of the Conference League to the Czech Jablonec.

This growth is great news for our football, and our representatives will have the opportunity to build on this achievement next week when the return matches are scheduled.

Rijeka will host Finland on Thursday (August 13), while Hajduk will welcome Žalgiris on the same day at 21:00.
