Croatia national football team explains disallowed goal in match against England. Igor Matanović clarified the situation around Joško Gvardiol's goal for 2:2 in the 13th minute of extra time, which was disallowed due to offside.
Although there was a question of whether Matanović had touched the ball before it reached Mario Pašalić, the chip in the ball showed that contact had existed.
Matanović said he felt a small touch of the ball with his head and asked the referee. The referee told him they have a chip in the ball and it gives them information that there was contact.
