Hajduk leads HNL! 'Were' better than Varaždin, Dinamo and Rijeka in one segment. Croatian club football has not had such a good European start for a long time. Even three Croatian representatives reached the play-off of European competitions, which was last done in 2017.

Dinamo has qualified for the final qualifying round of the Champions League, while Hajduk and Rijeka have also achieved this in the Conference League.

The particularly good result of Croatian clubs is seen through the number of wins. Dinamo and Rijeka have so far achieved three each, while Hajduk has achieved four, and Varaždin won Jablonec before their elimination. In total, Croatian representatives have reached 11 wins in qualifying, which has placed them among the most successful countries in Europe.

Varaždin has meanwhile ended its European campaign after the second qualifying round of the Conference League, but its result was also important for Croatia. The win against Czech Jablonec brought valuable points in the fight for a better national coefficient.

And indeed, Croatia is at the top in this regard. In the last 16 matches, Croatian clubs have won 75% of possible points. In this segment, only Turkey has been more successful, with an achievement of 80%.

Hajduk has particularly stood out. The Split-based team has won four times in Europe and currently shares second place in the number of wins with several clubs, including Beşiktaş, Partizan, Rapid and Ferencváros. Only the Azerbaijani Sabah has one more win ahead of them.

The Split-based team has been waiting for a European breakthrough for years that would help the Croatian coefficient, and now they have finally caught the right rhythm. After Dinamo and Rijeka, Hajduk has started regularly bringing points that are important for the entire Croatian football.

Hajduk is currently in 2nd place in the World Cup with 6 points, 2 wins, 0 draws and 1 loss from 3 matches. Their current form is 3 wins, 0 draws and 2 losses from the last 5 matches.

Hajduk will face the Czech Republic in their next match, away on September 26, 2026.
